a handmade birthday

Erin turned three last week.
Her favorite color is pink.
She had pink pancakes and a pink cake.
So, I made this cake from PW’s cookbook, which happens to be my new favorite right now and added some pink icing,
You might remember that last year my Dad made her a wooden kitchen at my request.
Well, this year he surprised us all with the addition of an ice box.
It is perfect with little wooden handles and it’s personalized with “Erin-Aire” painted on the freezer door.
Her favorite part is the scary wolf. She kept turning it over and uncovering the wolf and making this crazy face and scaring everyone.
My favorite part was spending the afternoon with Erin. She was in her kitchen and I was in mine; coexisting if you will, since hers is right next to mine.

Love this! She is so adorable! The cake looks lovely & delicious – I think I might have to try out that recipe! You are so talented – the doll is great – love it!
Laura: thank you!
your dad is a very talented craftsman.
I have to sing your praises Nancy, the cake was delicious and the doll a real success. Do you have the book yet?
