around the yard

A walk in the yard after an afternoon rain proved to be just the inspiration I needed. These “dog days of summer” tend to lack the natural beauty that spring has. So, when I stepped outside with my camera my first thought was “Dang, it’s hot” then it was “dang, there is nothing to shoot”. It took me a few moments to adjust my eyes and thoughts. I focused on the leaves and the few blooms around the yard. Now I can look back at these photos and have new perspective on this summer and it’s generous warmth.
thank you for the encouragement during the “dog days” of summer. The humidity can really mess with our heads sometimes. Our Creator has given us so much beauty; we need to open our eyes and appreciate what He has given us…you did just that.
