I looked out onto the porch the other afternoon and I caught them. Yep, caught them reading.
They took a short break from fighting over Legos to read a book together. All cozied up in the same chair on the sunny porch.
It makes this mama smile just thinking about it and forget about the many battles they have each day that I have to break up.
Now that my sewing machine is downstairs in the newly re-arranged studio, I’ve been able to get back to some sewing. I’m working on a dress for Erin, maybe her Easter dress. I finished an apron for myself and now I’m working on a dress for myself as well. But, I’m stalled because I don’t have any elastic thread. It really bugs me when I don’t have what I need in the middle of a project. That will teach me to read the directions all the way through before starting. So, when I can get to the fabric store I can finish it up. Pictures of all these projects to come!

Oh how precious– I just love it.
that’s a happy sight :^)
Nice catch mom! That is just too cute…and a great book at that!
Marce: thanks and i’m sure you’ve caught those brief moments with your girls too:)
