Flying High

Our first week of school went well. We went about our weekly routine with meals, a trip to the library, PE, a fiddle lesson and many trips to the YMCA. We still read random books that we checked out from the library as well as the books that were specific to our Sonlight core K.
We happened to check out The Story of Kites, which is a fictional tale about the invention of the kite by 3 boys who needed something to help scare the birds from the rice fields.
It inspired us to make our own paper kites.

We are still waiting for a windy day to fly them.
Ian thinks, a little like Pooh, that maybe on “Winds”day we could fly them.
