Father & Daughter

We enjoyed a long weekend at the beach last weekend and thanks to Grampie, I have these pictures to share.  I forgot my camera, but I knew that I could count on him to take some shots so I wasn’t too upset.

As some of you remember, Tropical Storm Hanna was passing us by that weekend. The first day and a half we had some rough waves and rainy weather, but we hung in there, rented some movies and then we enjoyed some beautiful sunny skies and warm water.

Summer is leaving us slowly, hanging on a little while longer.  Though, we are bombarded by reminders that it should be getting cooler by the magazines; break out your crockpot and flour up your pans for baking.  I have noticed cooler mornings and slight breezes, but it’s going to be a while until we break out the jackets.

For now, these pictures are a nice reminder of the simple days of playing in the sand and swimming in the waves, which my boys and babe love to do.

Oh, and so do I.

Hey! It looks like you all had a lot of fun! And, tell Grampy the pics are beautiful. The ocean loooks SO inviting. Glad you had a getaway. How’s homeschooling going? I am praying for you.

  • that is just like two little boys— never wanting to get out of the water. Beautiful pics and I know just what you mean when you say summer is hanging on. I told jeff I was moving to Maine. I need some cooler temps also. Snow would be nice also.

WOW. Those sunset pics should be in a magazine or something. And as usual the kids look ADORABLE. Something tells me they’re being really well taken care of :) I saw little Regan Rose last week at Katie’s house. What is it with you people and your irresistible kids??

In the picture of me holding the boys I’m actually just keeping them in one place as the surf tries to drag them out to sea. They love to swim, no matter how big the waves; I keep myself between them and the ocean and close together so I can grab them before Davy Jones takes them to his locker.
