I’m alive and breathing

That’s correct.  I’m breathing.  Actually, out of both nostrils and the coughing is suppressed.  Since last Thursday I’ve been hunkered down in the house, not because of the cold weather, it’s been rather nice here, but because of a nasty flu that somehow decided that it needed to come stay for a while.  It all started with Sean and then proceeded to me, then Ian, then Erin and now it’s taking ahold of our caretaker, Jay.  He had to take 2 days off work to take over while I slept and now I’m slowly taking things back over.  All the children are hanging in there.  They are taking it easy still.  Today, the boys got out and rode their bikes a little and played a little soccer and we did a little bird watching.  This little break has made me realize that it is nice to slow down even if I’m forced to do it.
