busy valentine

Wow, what a quick week! I’ve been meaning to post, but have had no time to get on the computer. All my “free” time has been dedicated to organizing. Yep, I finally put away the last of the Christmas decorations this week; it’s only the middle of February! The purchase of a new computer for Jay’s computer gigs spurred the total house organization mania around here. We reconfigured the home office, switching desks, moving computers, cables and the such. I am going to set up a little craft area for myself, minus the sewing stuff; that’s still upstairs. My thinking is that I spend more time downstairs, so I will be more likely to sit down with all my craft goodies in one place and create. Now if there were 30 hours in the day, maybe that will actually happen. For now a girl can dream!
Ian is especially fond of all holidays, what child isn’t? So, we celebrated “the day of love” or “the day of buy lots of red and heart shaped stuff one day of the year” with a party at the park and heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast. The party was with our homeschool group at a local park, where the children decorated valentine bags and exchanged valentines and then ate sugary sweets after a picnic lunch.
Well, today we are hosting a work party/lunch. Jay is renting a stumpgrinder, he’s clearing an area in the yard for the new garden location. Some families from church are coming over to help out and enjoy some home grown barbeque. Not sure if I spelled that correctly, maybe I should ask Akeelah!
I’m off to organize while the baby sleeps, Happy Weekend!

Super cute pic of Sean! I would really and truly keep him and spoil him. I can’t wait to see the garden plot all set and ready to go.
Do I understand correctly? Is Petunia barbecue now? I don’t know if I could do it. Hope it was the best barbecue you ever had!
