I was not able to get out like I had planned this morning, due to the fact that their are not enough seats with seat belts in our car. *We ordered a custom third row seat and it should be here in a few weeks.* So, my plans changed and I spent some one on one time with Ian and his new Jolly Maties Sticker Activity Book, while Sean watched a movie and Baby Erin hung out in the sling. (At this point, I still can handle only 2 at a time.) The morning went smooth, with minimal yelling, unlike my pregnacy days and yesterday to be honest. We had no where to go and the boys can tell, they cooperate much better when they are not on a time schedule. Ian and I had much fun learning all about Pirate Stuff. Then, we all headed outside for a much needed snack. By then, Baby Erin was all sleepy and I was able to lay her down. The boys and I played a game of bouncy ball and had a little batting practice outside. I had to duck a couple of times when Ian actually made contact with the ball! Sean was too cute trying his best to hit that little ball. While we were outside I realized that I was having fun, I was not worried about what I was going to do next or what we were going to have for dinner. I was having fun with my two boys and nothing else was more important at that moment. Anyway, I just had the thought that mornings like this one are why I am a Mom and why I like it and I wanted to share!! ** Don’t get me wrong, mornings are not usually like this. They are typically filled with all sorts of chaos and not much peace. But isn’t it great when things run well?** Thank you all for your comments! Sorry I don’t have time to respond, but with the around the clock nursing every 2-3 hours, there just isn’t any computer time leftover. We are doing well. Baby Erin is just precious and I’m falling more in love with her every minute. The boys are handling the newest addition really well. I have seen an improvement with Sean especially. He didn’t want anything to do with the baby when she first came home, but I think he’s getting used to having her around. Ian is all about the baby!! He wants to help me do everything. He’s stepping in and playing more with Sean so I can spend time with Erin. They are even getting along, most of the time. The sling Erin is in is one I made when I had Seanie. I was so looking forward to using the sling again with Erin. She likes it so far and it’s so nice to be able to use two hands and still hold her. It’s essential if you have more than one child!! Enjoy the weekend! Monday afternoon at 3:19pm we welcomed Erin Elizabeth to our family after 6 hours of induced labor. Thank goodness it didn’t take any longer, not sure I could have taken anymore than that! Here are her stats: 8lbs. 3 oz., 20-3/4″ long. We arrived home Wednesday evening and are settling in nicely. Jay has had this week off as well as next week. So, I will have some time to recover and adjust to life with a newborn and two little boys. I must thank everyone for their prayers, encouraging words through emails and comments and thanks to my family for taking care of the boys while we were in the hospital. I know they are a sprited duo and alot of work! I appreciate all you do! Sorry for the lack of pictures, we didn’t take very many at the hospital. I guess we were overwhelmed by the whole birth thing. I will try and bum a few from family and post those as well. I’m for a nap to catch up on some sleep! Anyone else tired of waiting and hearing about how tired I am of waiting. For those of you who talk to me on a regular basis, you have heard how I am feeling right now and those of you who have children know what it’s like at this point in the pregnancy (1 day from the due date). I am happy one minute, crying the next and then just flat out bored after that. I have scheduled an induction for the 8th if labor doesn’t happen before then. I’m nervous about the induction, both boys came on their own 2 days before the due dates. Maybe she’ll come on the 6th and she’ll share a birthday with my Mom and my niece Ivy Grace! Jay is back to work this week, so the boys and I have been trying to keep busy. So, what have we been doing? Laundry, running errands, doctor’s appointment (no progress), naps, the park, shopping, making cookies, playing games and making homemade candles. We’ve also been listening to Pandora.com, an internet radio website which allows you to select music you like and listen to it for free on the web. It’s been fun! You can customize your own channels. So far I am enjoying some Bluegrass and some Chick tunes by Hope Sandoval, originally from Mazzy Star. You must check it out! I’m thinking about breaking out the good ole’ sewing machine for a distraction. Maybe a new bag for myself with my initials embroidered. Okay, that’s what I’ll do next, during this coveted naptime!!
