A little ramble

The lack of posts is not due to lack of goings on around here. It’s due to my lack of time on the computer and my lack of desire to post. Does that make sense? Anyway, I wanted to give a little update to our activities lately. Jay has been busy at work, the coffee lovers are busy buying gifts this season. He has also been out in the yard collecting good compost material for our Spring garden. We still have some vegetables growing in the garden; the green peppers are still producing, even after the cold spell we had over the weekend.
I’ve done some sewing for the little business, a baby gift set and some drapery panels which are almost done, minus the hem. I also sewed a few things to put in a local church craft fair, like baby bib, burp cloth and blanket sets, a Mother/Daughter apron set, some accessory sets, which include a keychain, coin pouch and tissue holder. I’m waiting to find out what sold, then I’m going to put the items that didn’t sell in my Etsy Shop.
There are only 4 weeks left until Baby Erin is due to arrive, so I’m winding down all my activities. The Christmas decorations are all set up after the initial tree lighting and the boxes of decorations put away. I’ve got a few things I want to sew, a baby sling or two for myself, and an apron for a gift exchange we are doing this weekend. Then, I’m just going to get my Christmas shopping done and chill out and eat Christmas cookies!!!

We just got internet back after a week…because we are finally in our house! I am catching up on all my bloggers.
If you haven’t already done so, you must get a copy of THE 24 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS by Madeline L’Engle. The mom is pregnant at Christmastime and that is ALL I’m telling you. One year I read each day to my kids like advent readings. Then we tried to do whatever the family did on that day. It was really fun.
Love You,
Hi Nancy-I just heard from Emily, and she LOVED the gift set. Thanks so much for making it-I know how little spare time you have these days. you are blessing so many people through your creativity! See you soon! Love you!
