to a wedding, the birth of christ and the birth of a new Henry! Whoa, I can hardly stand it. So much going on in such short time. The wedding is tomorrow here with the reception here and then the two of us, my hubby and I, are staying at the beach overnight. One last getaway before baby #3! When we return from our little trip, it’s “Moshermas” to celebrate Christmas with my family. Then Christmas is here and we celebrate with a service on Christmas Eve here and Christmas dinner with Jay’s family. After all that, we wait for Baby Erin to arrive.

Yesterday, I wanted to make these and these and I ended up dipping everything I could find in chocolate, like leftover pretzels and I drizzled chocolate over Chex Mix. It was fun because when all the chocolate was gone I had 4 different treats to give out to the neighbors and lots leftover for us to eat.
Today, I’m just finishing up some things around the house and starting to figure out what I’m going to pack for the hospital. My thoughts keep going to all the activities coming up and the fact that I could go into labor during one of the events and I keep asking myself, “will I be ready?”
So, I’m signing off until the new year and possibly longer if we have a baby sooner than later. I’m sure Jay will sign on and post when the baby does arrive! Until then, enjoy this holiday season with family and friends!

Do you know what a duck egg tastes like? Well, it tastes alot like a chicken egg, it’s just a little bigger. We discovered two eggs near the pond yesterday and had to try them out. We tried one over easy and the other scrambled and there really was no difference to a chicken egg. Now it’s a matter of finding the eggs, since the ducks live outside without a pen or house and they don’t have nesting boxes.

Also, I just updated the shop with some baby items, accessory sets and a couple of bags. This will be the last update for a while, not that I’ve added anything in forever. and I will not be taking custom orders either, for obvious reasons. Baby reasons you know!
It’s down to 3 weeks until Baby Erin is expected to arrive and I’m doing alright. All the shopping is complete, the wrapping is almost done and the cards are in the mail. The Christmas cookies are nearly gone and a new batch will be in the works tomorrow for sure.
I hope all is well with everyone as you all get ready for the holidays!

The lack of posts is not due to lack of goings on around here. It’s due to my lack of time on the computer and my lack of desire to post. Does that make sense? Anyway, I wanted to give a little update to our activities lately. Jay has been busy at work, the coffee lovers are busy buying gifts this season. He has also been out in the yard collecting good compost material for our Spring garden. We still have some vegetables growing in the garden; the green peppers are still producing, even after the cold spell we had over the weekend.
I’ve done some sewing for the little business, a baby gift set and some drapery panels which are almost done, minus the hem. I also sewed a few things to put in a local church craft fair, like baby bib, burp cloth and blanket sets, a Mother/Daughter apron set, some accessory sets, which include a keychain, coin pouch and tissue holder. I’m waiting to find out what sold, then I’m going to put the items that didn’t sell in my Etsy Shop.
There are only 4 weeks left until Baby Erin is due to arrive, so I’m winding down all my activities. The Christmas decorations are all set up after the initial tree lighting and the boxes of decorations put away. I’ve got a few things I want to sew, a baby sling or two for myself, and an apron for a gift exchange we are doing this weekend. Then, I’m just going to get my Christmas shopping done and chill out and eat Christmas cookies!!!

Thank you all for the kind birthday wishes for Ian! He told me yesterday, while giving me a big hug, ”This is the only birthday I will ever need!” We celebrated twice, once with Jay’s parents and with some friends on Sunday for lunch and cupcakes, then on Monday at the Zoo with my parents and my sister and her two girls. Ian was wondering today if it was still his birthday. He got into the whole birthday boy idea. We told him, ”that he was the birthday boy and he could decide what he wanted for dinner last night.” So he chose waffles and sausage patties. He pulled the birthday boy card today when he wanted something. He caught on quickly!

He is enjoying his gifts. When we got home yesterday, the first thing he wanted to do was put on his new Spiderman boxers and Superman PJ’s, thanks Oma!

Happy Birthday my dear Ian!!!! December 4, 2002, little Ian came into this world and changed everything we knew about life and what’s important. Ian has brought such fun into our lives. He loves to create, like his Mommy and he has a serious side, like his Daddy. I’m crying right now just writing this, must be the pregnacy hormones! It’s just hard to believe he’s growing up into a little boy that can write his name, that’s why we gave him such a short one, and reads picture books to his little brother. We caught him reading this book to Sean this morning, wish I caught a picture of it. Those are the moments I need to remember when they are talking back or fighting with eachother.
We love you Ian!
