Corn Maze

This morning we ventured out to Conner’s Corn Maze in Callahan with our homeschool group. It took us about an hour to get there and it was a typical Florida morning with lots of warm sunshine. The corn field was a little short this season due to lack of rain, but it benefitted us moms with young tots. We didn’t lose any children - that was a plus! There was lots to do after the maze, like a hayride where we fed the cows some of our “seats” as Ian described. The cows came up to the wagons when they stopped in the field and munched on the hay bales we were sitting on. Everyone got a kick out of that. Then, the children loaded up in the cow train, which was a homemade ride made out of barrels. It looked a little scary – there were no lap belts, but everyone made it out safely. After that, it was off to slide down the PVC slide and play in the corn box and other child-friendly toys. We spent about 3 hours there and the boys passed out on the ride home. I had fun too, and got a nice nap once we got home while Ian raided the craft boxes and kept himself entertained.
